Rosemary in Brine – Romeritos 16 oz

Consisting of springs of a wild plant that looks like rosemary.  It is used to make a dish from Mexico City served with patties of dried shrimp and potatoes in a mole sauce.  Traditionally served in Christmas and lent.

Los romeritos son un quelite, su nombre deriva del náhuatl quilitl, que significa “hierba comestible” y se convierten en el ingrediente principal de un plato que nunca falta en nuestras mesas cada Navidad, en la cena de Año Nuevo y en Cuaresma.
